Dalton Academic Award Evaluation Criteria

English Liberal Arts

ELA department will reward Dalton Academic Award to students who demonstrate a strong passion and inspiration for learning and to those who make significant progress in their academic work.

Physics & Engineering

Physics & Engineering department will recognize students based on their contribution to the class, creativity, in-depth research and projects, outstanding competition results, and excellent performance.

Biology

Biology departmenta will reward students who demonstrate a strong interest in Biology, make significant progress, have outstanding performance in Biology study, provide generous help to peers, or show a strong sense of social responsibility.

Chinese Liberal Arts

Chinese Liberal Arts department will recognize junior students based on their performance, innovation, research skills, leadership, and cooperation in four reasearch projects.

Experiential Learning Program

Experiential Learning Program will reward students who actively participate in the ELP project, make outstanding contributions, and perform well. 

World Culture and Civilization

WCC department will reward Dalton Academic Award to students who demonstrate a strong passion and and great effort for learning and to those who make significant progress in their academic work.

Chemistry

Chemistry department will reward students who demonstrate a strong interest in Chemistry, make significant progress, have outstanding performance in Chemistry study, provide generous help to peers, or show a strong sense of social responsibility.

Mathematics

Mathematics department will reward students who have demonstrate a strong interest in Mathematics study, make significant progress, have outstanding performance in Mathematics, or provide generous help to peers.

Independent Research Program

Independent Research Program supervisoras and faculty will recognize sophomore students based on the quality of students' research questions, lierature review, research design, research significance, and so on.

All-Arounder

The Dalton All-round Award is not directly related to academic study, but is awarded to Dalton students with a spirit of cooperation, a sense of rules, a sense of social responsibility, appropriate behavior, and empathy.
