There are two semesters per school year. Autumn Semester spans from late August to late January while Spring Semester stretches from late February to mid-July.  Summer Vacation last roughly six weeks from mid-July to late August, while Winter Vacation, held during Spring Festival, lasts about four weeks from late January to late February. Specific date ranges are dependent on the individual years official calendar published in late August.
